1825 – Probably the year when a distillery called Glenforres is founded by farmers in Perthshire.
1837 – The first year Edradour is mentioned.
1841 – The farmers form a proprietary company, John MacGlashan & Co.
1886 – J. G. Turney & Sons acquires Edradour through its subsidiary William Whitely & Co.
1922 – William Whiteley buys the distillery. The distillery is renamed Glenforres-Glenlivet.
1975 – Pernod Ricard buys Campbell Distilleries.
1982 – Campbell Distilleries (Pernod Ricard) buys Edradour and builds a visitor centre.
1986 – The first single malt is released.
2002 – Edradour is bought by Andrew Symington from Signatory for £5.4 million. The product range is expanded with a 10 year old and a 13 year old cask strength.
2003 – A 30 year old and a 10 year old are released. A heavily peated variety is also distilled.
2004 – A number of wood finishes are launched as cask strength.
2006 – The first bottling of peated Ballechin is released.
2007 – A Madeira matured Ballechin is released.
2008 – A Ballechin matured in Port pipes and a 10 year old Edradour with a Sauternes finish are released.
2009 – Fourth edition of Ballechin (Oloroso) is released.
2010 – Ballechin #5 Marsala is released.
2011 – Ballechin #6 Bourbon and a 26 year old PX sherry finish are relased.
